This week has been long and busy. There is so much I want to talk about here, but I'm short on time so I'm going to give you the condensed version this morning.
First, God has opened a door for my writing. The Baptist State Convention's women's ministry wants to pilot a devotional guide and I am talking with the director about writing for it. Isn't God awesome?
Second, we have had the crud here. I've been to three doctors appointments with sick children this week. Josh is probably the sickest at this point. Walker has been with my mother in law so hopefully he won't catch it. Ally has had a nasty ear infection that has kept her home with a fever most of the week. Baby Z has been sick too. I ended up taking him to the doctor on Wednesday morning because his breathing was so bad. While we were there, they heard a heart murmur. So yesterday I had to take him to the hospital for x-rays and we'll be doing an echocardiogram and possibly an ultrasound next week.
With all this medical stuff, it has been a battle. We've had to jump through hoops to get him treated because we aren't his legal guardians. His mom is not in rehab. She is back on drugs and to be honest, I'm scared that she could take Z anyday. I never know what's going on with that. One day, the grandparents say she's gone. They've kicked her out or she left on her own free will. Then the next day, they call and she's with them at the grocery store. I don't get it. We think the doctor might have filed a report with CPS, but we're not sure. It's a really touchy situation. We got power of attorney papers from a precious friend (Thanks Christy!!) yesterday and so we are working on getting her to sign those so we can at least get him the medical care he needs. Prayers are appreciated on this...
Finally, I wanted to thank you for praying for my Pawpaw. He went home to Jesus last night. We are sad that he is gone, but we know we will see him again because of the hope we have in Jesus Christ.
Well, Baby Z is ready to eat and the house needs to be cleaned today. We've had parsonage renovations going all week. They are still working on the roof. I've got to wrap up work today before we leave for Pawpaw's funeral. Walker will be home in a little while too. So I will be back later with more, but for now, I hope you all have a blessed Friday. :)

Wow, I'd say you've had a super busy week. Good thing you've got the God of strength to rely on. :) Hearing how you care for Baby Z touches my heart. I am praying for all of you! God's blessings today and always, Sarah :D
Sounds like you've had a rough week...to say the least. I'll be lifting you up in prayer and asking God to flood you with His grace. I hope next Friday's report is a little bit better. :)
Amber, I'm praying for you. I pray that God gives you peace and strength while you're going through these trials.
