You might remember that I mentioned a few months ago that I was living vicariously through my best friend, Sheyna. She was expecting a baby girl, who I have been calling my "Joy" baby. Well today, my sweet little Sophie Joy entered the world.
Sheyna had a c-section this morning and at 7:51 AM, and Sophie made her debut weighing...
wait for it, ya'll.....
ELEVEN pounds, THIRTEEN ounces.
Oh yes.
You may now give Sheyna a standing ovation for carrying a baby that big.
She wasn't kidding when she told us that she was feeling a little bit of pressure!!
I got to take pictures of this sweet new baby in the first hours of her life. Want to see?

Oh how beautiful and exciting1 I'm rejoicing with y'all! But goodness - 11 lbs? Ouch.
Oh sweetness and beauty!
LOL!!! What a chunk and beauty! I love baby chunk. I told my husband just the other day that some people deliver babies as big as our 1-month-old and his eyes got huge. I think this little one is bigger than she is right now, too. Nothing wrong with that! She's very precious!!!
I love that squishy little face & puckered lips! So sweet!
Way to go Sheyna! My biggest one was 1/2 oz. shy of 9lbs...also a Csection!
oh my GOSH! SO, SO cute! my last two kids were both right at 10lbs...and i thought that was big. but, wow. 11!
isn't it nice to live vicariously through someone else's pregnancy?!? ha!
