Dear Sewing Machine

Dear Sewing Machine,

I am dumbfounded. I have piles of adorable fabric, books of patterns, over 100 projects in mind, and you. And yet you just refuse to cooperate. How do you expect a girl like me to actually put thread in you? The directions you come with are absurd. They make no sense.

You just can't possibly fathom my sadness every time I gaze longingly at you from across the room. I just don't know how to make it work between us. Can't we at least be friends?

Your loving owner,

P.S. Anybody know how to sew and want to help a girl out?

Sorry I can be on NO help on that one!

Hopefully you make friends with the machine soon :)

My letter would say, "Dear Sewing machine...you are a sewing machine, right?" LOL! Obviously, I'm not much of a seamstress! :)

I'm afraid that the comment section won't be of much help... too many words. BUT if you search youtube there are oodles of videos that cover the basics. Here is one for threading the machine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dm83zA5-Yyk&feature=related

Good luck!!

Luckily my Brother SE350 is me proof... it walks me through each individual step. Although the first time I used it I almost cried. I wanted to make something beautiful within a few minutes. Right before I boxed it up and returned it to the store I figured it out and there's been no looking back. Hang in there sister, I know you're going to figure it out!
God's blessings,
Sarah :D
